What are "Annuals"?
In a nutshell, "annuals" are plants with a lifespan of a single season, or one year. Annuals grow from seed, bloom, produce seeds, and die—all in one growing season, then must be planted again the following spring.
Annuals are popular because of their long bloom time. Many annuals will remain in bloom for many months, requiring little care other than watering.
They provide beautiful colours from spring through fall, and are popular with amateur and professional gardeners alike.
